2019 election a done deal for Buhari – Nda-Isaiah

2019 election a done deal for Buhari - Nda-Isaiah

One of the former presidential aspirants on the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Sam Nda-Isaiah has expressed confidence that President Muhammadu Buhari will win the 2019 general election.

Sam Nda-Isaiah, who is also the chairman of the Leadership Group, emphazied that the enormous infrastructural projects embarked upon by the APC led government which is unprecedented will pave the way for Buhari’s victory come 2019.

He stated this while speaking to journalists in Akure, the Ondo state capital, shortly after he was conferred with the Chieftaincy title of ‘Aare Baroyin’ of the ancient kingdom at the weekend, by the Deji of Akure, Oba Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi.

“He (Buhari) will win again. Although, we are not taking things for granted, without any hard work.

“There is need for hardwork and to explain to Nigerians about his good work which will bring him in again.

“We are not going to take anything for granted, of course you all know I am not contesting this year but I am going to rally round for his support”.

On the crisis which trailed the APC primaries, the media executive assured that the party would overcome its challenges before the 2019 election.

Although, he pointed out that the problem which emanated from the Zamafara State chapter of the APC after its primaries could have been avoided if the leaders had yielded to his advice.

“I am particularly angry about Zamafara issue because it is irresponsibility, even though we have gone to court, I don’t know how that will end.

“And if that is a metaphor for what has happened in APC, I think we will need to sit down and do better than this.

“If we are going to continue to rule, we must show superior example and show that we are better than the Peoples Democratic Party.

“We will get there but certainly there are somethings that shouldn’t have happened in this parlance,” he said.
