30 Suspects Arrested For Looting Dogara’s Jos Residence

Thirty suspects have been arrested by The Particular Army Job Drive, for vandalising and looting valuables on the Jos residence of Mr Yakubu Dogara, a former Speaker of the Home of Representatives.

The Commander of the duty drive, Maj.Gen. Chukwuemeka Okonkwo, introduced the suspects to newsmen on Sunday in Jos.

Okonkwo, who described the act as prison, stated the suspects violated the 24-hour curfew imposed on some components of the state by the federal government.

He stated the suspected criminals who invaded the home of the lawmaker on Sunday had been arrested by personnel of the duty drive.

“These suspects,  13 males and 17 females had been arrested at present whereas  vandalising the home of the previous Speaker Home of Representatives, Yakuba Dogara, at Lamingo, Jos.

“That is purely an act of criminality; vandalising and looting authorities property and that of personal people is prison.

“So, we cannot sit down and watch miscreants looting private and non-private properties within the state,” he stated.

The commander stated the suspects could be handed over to the suitable authority for prosecution.
