A 33-year-old man caught allegedly raping a seven-year-old woman inside his spouse’s store in Okpoko, Ogbaru Native Authorities Space of Anambra State has been handed over to the police.


It was gathered that the person, Ejike Kanu allegedly deceived the little woman and took her into the small store the place his spouse sells provisions and forcefully had canal information of her, inside.


The suspect in keeping with the Police Public Relations Officer of the Anambra State Police Command, SP Haruna Mohammed, has been arrested.


Mohammed mentioned the suspect has confessed to the crime, attributing his actions to the satan.


Talking on how the suspect was arrested, he mentioned, “On the 6/10/2020, Police operatives connected to Okpoko Division arrested one Ejike Kanu ‘m’ aged 33 years, a local of Elugwu Mkporo in Ohafia LGA of Abia State, however resides at Umuobom Avenue, Okpoko, Anambra State.


“Suspect allegedly lured his neighbour’s daughter, aged 7 years previous and had illegal carnal information of her, inside his spouse’s store.


“Police detectives visited the scene and took the sufferer to the hospital for medical examination the place penetration was confirmed by the medical physician.


“In the meantime, the suspect has voluntarily confessed and attributed his act to satan’s affect.


“Case could be transferred to the State felony investigation division for discreet investigation as directed by the Commissioner of Police, CP John B. Abang, after which the suspect shall be charged to court docket for prosecution,” he mentioned.
