AIB Confirms Helicopter Crash At Opebi, Begins Probe

AIB Basic Supervisor, Public Affairs, Tunji Oketumbi, disclosed this in a phone chat with our correspondent shortly after the crash on Friday afternoon.

Oketumbi informed The PUNCH and added that the Bureau would difficulty a proper report on the accident.

The PUNCH had earlier reported that the helicopter, which was operated by Quorom Aviation, crashed right into a residential constructing on Salvation Highway within the Opebi space.

First responders together with operatives of the Lagos State Emergency Administration Company and the Nationwide Emergency Administration Company have been deployed within the scene of the accident.

LASEMA Basic Supervisor, Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu, in a press release, mentioned two individuals died within the crash whereas one other was injured and has been rushed to the Lagos State College Instructing Hospital.

Oke-Osanyintolu mentioned, “The company obtained misery calls regarding a privately operated helicopter that crashed into 16A Salvation Highway, Opebi, Ikeja and instantly activated the emergency response plan.
