Anambra Announces Gradual Reopening of Schools, Releases Resumption Date

Anambra State Governor, Willie Obiano has given his approval for faculties to be steadily reopened within the state.

 

Recall that faculties within the state months had been compelled to shut because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

Obiano gave the approval in a press release signed by the Everlasting Secretary, Ministry of Fundamental Schooling, Mr. Nwankwo Nwabueze.

 

Nwabueze mentioned the state authorities had accredited and launched a timetable for the completion of the 2019/2020 Educational session, in addition to the schedule for the State examinations.

 

He mentioned, “The third time period is kind of quick and we anticipate faculties to make most use of the time. We had continued to show our youngsters at house by way of numerous e-platforms together with the Anambra State Instructing on Air.

“These numerous platforms shall be continued as we do a phased re-opening of colleges and watch the well being implications. We enjoin mother and father to supply hand sanitizers and face masks for kids. Let’s work collectively for the security of all.”

The timetable for the completion of 2019/2020 Educational confirmed that whereas NABTEB begins on Monday 21st September to Thursday 15th October 2020, NECO SSCE begins on Monday fifth October to Saturday 14th November 2020 6.

The timetable additional confirmed that resumption for JSS three College students begins on Monday seventh September 2020, whereas BECE takes off on Thursday 17th September and runs till Thursday 24th September 2020.

“Major Faculty Leaving Certificates Examination begins Saturday 12th September 2020, whereas the third time period for 2019/2020 session begins Monday 14th September 2020 – Friday 23rd October 2020 for each main and secondary faculties,” the discharge acknowledged.
