The All Progressive Congress in Edo State has raised an alarm over the alleged entrance of thugs into Benin Metropolis and the additional recruitment of thugs loyal to Edo State governor, Godwin Obaseki and the Individuals’s Democratic Celebration (PDP) in Delta State.

The ruling APC alleged that the recruitment occurred in Warri.

This was revealed in an announcement by the chairman of the Edo APC Media Marketing campaign Council, Mr. John Mayaki, who mentioned the thugs gained entrance into the town and that extra thugs are planning to reach.

He disclosed, “Certainly one of my good sources in Delta known as me and was telling me that our election shall be ‘bloody.’

“He advised me thugs in Delta are at present mobilising. He has a few of them in his contact and he, Obaseki, is searching for extra thugs.

“A few of them have already taken off from Warri yesterday and extra shall be leaving there this morning. These are folks that got clear directions on what to do as soon as they enter Edo. They may lie low and perpetrate some kidnaps then unleash on Saturday morning.

On the direness of the state of affairs, Mayaki predicted that “the safety companies which have been deployed into the state and the resilience of our folks will nullify all of the thugs that the governor is bringing in. Persons are so bored with Obaseki that they really imagine that the governor’s second time period is non-negotiable in that it should not be.

“The second time period with the person is nearly as good as packing out of Edo. His governance is like giving a gun to a child to play with so folks will come out to gather the facility of Edo State from him.
