A five-man panel of the Court docket of Enchantment led by Justice Adezila Mshelia put aside the tribunal’s verdict and affirmed Diri’s election in its judgment delivered on Friday.

The three-man election petition tribunal sitting in Abuja had, in a break up resolution of two-to-one, nullified the November 16, 2019 Bayelsa State governorship election on account of illegal exclusion of the Superior Nigeria Democratic Celebration and its candidate, King George, from the train.

Dissatisfied with the judgment, Diri, his get together, the Peoples Democratic Celebration, and the Impartial Nationwide Electoral Fee had filed separate appeals in opposition to it.

The Court docket of Enchantment upheld the appeals on Friday by holding that ANDP was not unlawfully excluded from the election.
