The Tutorial Workers Union of Universities and the Federal Authorities have disagreed on the platform which might be used to disburse the N30 billion earned allowance and wage arrears of lecturers.

Whereas the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige provided to pay the wage arrears and the N30 billion Earned Allowances of the college lecturers by way of the Built-in Payroll and Personnel Data System platform on the assembly which led to a impasse on Wednesday, October 22, ASUU delegation led by its Nationwide President, Prof Biodun Ogunyemi reportedly insisted that lecturers wouldn’t enrol on the federal government wage platform.

It’s anticipated that each events will reconvene on Monday October 26, to resolve on the platform for the disbursement of the funds pledged by the FG.

Recall that the federal authorities had agreed to pay N40 billion, being the pending Earned Tutorial Allowance of the college academics overdue since November 2019.
