Atiku Blasts Buhari For Increasing Electricity Tariff Amid Coronavirus Pandemic

Former presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Get together and ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar has tackled President Muhammadu Buhari’s authorities for growing electrical energy tariff.


Atiku, who slammed the federal authorities, stated Nigerians want stimulus and never increment of electrical energy tariff.


In a tweet, the previous Vice President described the increment as ill-advised.

“I reject the elevated electrical energy tariffs. Popping out of the lockdown, Nigerians want a stimulus, not an impetuous disregard for the challenges they face.

“Many Nigerians haven’t earned an revenue for months, as a consequence of no fault of theirs. This improve is ill-timed and ill-advised,” Atiku tweeted.


Recall that the Nigerian Electrical energy Regulatory Fee (NERC) had accredited the Multi Yr Tariff Order 2020.
