BREAKING: Ogun Workers Suspend Strike

The Organised labour in Ogun State has referred to as off its one-week warning strike after a marathon assembly with the officers of the state authorities.

Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress within the state, Emmanuel Bankole, introduced this on Friday after a closed-door assembly held on the Governor’s workplace, Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta.

Arising from the assembly, Bankole mentioned the union leaders had secured the dedication of the federal government on their calls for.

The organised labour had on Wednesday commenced per week warning strike over minimal wage, unpaid Contributory Pension Scheme; non-promotion of workers since 2018 and unpaid go away allowances to all workers since 2015.

Whereas calling off the strike, Bankole who was flanked by leaders of different unions, mentioned, “I need to urge our members throughout the state that we have now been capable of get the dedication of the federal government as to the welfare issues, therefore, the strike is hereby referred to as off, thanks.”
