Buhari fires NECO registrar, four other management staff -

President Muhammadu Buhari has terminated the appointment of Prof. Charles Uwakwe because the Registrar/Chief Government of the Nationwide Examinations Council, (NECO).

Equally, he has dismissed 4 different Administration Employees of the Council for numerous offences.

In a Letter dated 11th Might, 2020 and signed by the Everlasting Secretary Federal Ministry of Training, Arc. Sonny Echono on behalf of the Training Minister, Uwakwe was accused of violating the Public Procurement Act (2007) and pursuant to PSR 030402 and half 1 schedule four (i) of NECO Institution Act.

“Mr. Bamidele Amos Olure, Appearing Director (Finance and Accounts), dismissal from the service with impact from the date of his suspension from workplace having been discovered responsible of economic impropriety and never certified to Head the Finance and Accounts Division”.
