Court Adjourns Ayo Fayose's Trial Until October 20

A Federal Excessive Court docket in Lagos has adjourned the trial of former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose who was arraigned for fraud to October 20 this 12 months.

The previous governor was current in courtroom on Monday July 6 however the case was adjourned after counsel to the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC), Rotimi Jacobs, informed the presiding choose, Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke, that the prosecution witness who was alleged to testify was not accessible. Fayose is standing trial for the alleged misappropriation of N2. 2 billion of the state funds when he served as governor of the state.
