DSS Reacts To Reports That It Invited Sheikh Gumi For Questioning

The invitation extended to Islamic cleric, Sheik Ahmad Gumi has been confirmed by the Department of State Services (DSS) on Friday.

DSS spokesman, Dr Peter Afunanya confirmed the news in a WhatsApp message and wrote: “Gumi was invited by the Service.”

He did not say why the cleric was invited.

“It’s not out of place for the Service to invite any person of interest,” he added
