FG Approves $1.9 Billions Rail Line To Niger Republic

In keeping with a report by The PUNCH, the Federal Authorities on Wednesday accredited $1,959,744,723.71 for the development of a rail line that may hyperlink Nigeria to Niger Republic.

The approval was given at a gathering of the Federal Govt Council presided over by the President, Muhammadu Buhari.

The Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, advised State Home correspondents on the finish of the assembly that the sum accredited for the event of the proposed rail line linking Kano-Dutse-Katsina-Jibia and to Maradi in Niger Republic is inclusive of Worth Added Tax.

Amaechi stated other than that, the council additionally accredited the award of a contract value N3.049 bilion for the design, manufacture, provide, testing, and commissioning of 1 railway crane for the needs of clearing rail tracks in conditions of accidents.
