The Federal Authorities has declared Thursday, October 1, 2020, as a public vacation.


The federal government mentioned the purpose is to commemorate Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary.


The Minister of Inside, Rauf Aregbesola, who made the declaration, congratulated all Nigerians on the celebration of the nation’s Diamond Jubilee whereas stressing the federal government’s dedication to the socio-economic transformation of the nation.


This was contained in a press release titled, ‘FG Declares Thursday, October 1, 2020, Public Vacation To Mark Nigeria’s 60th Independence Anniversary’ and signed by the Everlasting Secretary of the Ministry of Inside, Georgina Ehuriah.
