FG Extends Resumption Of Worldwide Flights To September 5

The Federal authorities has shifted the resumption date of worldwide flights to September 5.

Hadi Sirika, the Minister of Aviation, had earlier introduced that the date for resumption for Worldwide flights was Saturday, August 29.

Nevertheless, on the every day briefing of the Presidential Taskforce on COVID-19 in Abuja on Thursday August 27, the Director-Common of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority NCAA, Musa Shuaibu Nuhu, introduced that the date has now been moved to September 5.

In accordance with Nuhu, whereas airways and airports had been able to function, different non-aviation logistics weren’t and this has necessitated the one-week extension.

“We have now different non-aviation logistics we’re nonetheless engaged on, principally the COVID-19 protocol exams and on-line platform. We have to get this prepared.”Nuhu stated

He careworn that the September 5 as a “sacrosanct date”, noting that “the preliminary announcement was anytime from the 29th.”

The Nigerian Airspace was shut down in March as a part of measures to include the unfold of Coronavirus.
