He stated the date introduced by Aviation Minister, Hadi Sirika, can be for consideration of resumption of flights.

Aliyu confused that authorities should meet the standards earlier than worldwide air transport is allowed.

“We are going to spend a complete day discussing worldwide journey and the way this can be executed. And if I’ll make clear, we stated from the 29th of August, we didn’t say on the 29th of August.

“So, similar to what we did for the home flights. Don’t come again and say that we promised we are going to open on the 29th, however that date just isn’t sacrosanct; however we are going to work in direction of it,” he acknowledged.

Sirika stated the airports had reached superior phases of preparedness for the resumption of operations.

The flights would begin with the Nnamdi Azikiwe Worldwide Airport Abuja and the Murtala Muhammed Worldwide Airport Lagos.

Recall former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore had accused the FG of saying a resumption date for worldwide flights in order that their wards and youngsters can return to their colleges overseas.
