Gov Wike Dissolves Task Force On Illegal Street Trading, Motor Parks In Rivers State

The Rivers state governor , Nyesom Wike has introduced that the duty drive on Unlawful Road Buying and selling and Motor Parks in Rivers state have been dissolved

On Tuesday, Gov Wike made this announcement in an announcement by Mr Paulinus Nsirim, Commissioner for Data and Communications, in Port Harcourt.

The duty drive had been participating in fights with motorists and avenue merchants which frequently led to destruction of autos, items and inflicting of accidents on some members of the general public, Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) reported.

Mr Brilliant Amaewhule, the Particular Assistant to the Governor in control of the duty drive, has additionally been releived of his appointment by Gov. Wike who directed all members of the duty drive to return their operational autos and identification playing cards to the workplace of the Secretary to the State Authorities not later than 4pm on Wednesday, Aug. 12.

“They are going to be paid their salaries as they return the autos and identification playing cards.

“Authorities will reconstitute the duty drive after correct orientation and coaching,” the governor stated.
