Governor Sule Vows To Sign Death Warrant Of Kidnappers, Rapists

Governor, Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa has vowed to signal dying warrants of kidnappers and rapists dropped at him.

Sule made the assertion whereas inaugurating the sensitisation programme for motion towards the persistence instances of rape and kidnapping throughout the 13 native authorities areas of the state on Wednesday.

He stated rape and kidnapping have been essentially the most stringent safety challenges that had been confronting the state, including that the 36 states, in addition to the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, had their peculiar safety challenges.

He stated, “I’ll signal any dying sentences relating to rape and kidnapping introduced earlier than me.”

The governor added that he would quickly institute dying penalty as penalties for rape and kidnapping, mentioning stiffer penalty for rapists and kidnappers would deter those that had the intention of embarking on such act.

“If the state Meeting provide you with a regulation to make dying sentence a penalty for rapists and kidnappers, I’ll signal that into regulation.”
