Horror! Man Drowns While Trying To Retrieve $20 Note He Mistakenly Dropped Inside A River

Tamba Lamine, a Liberian man, has drowned after leaping from a bridge right into a river in Liberia’s capital, Monrovia, to retrieve a $20 notice that he had mistakenly dropped based on a report by BBC.

In response to police spokesman Moses Carter who spoke to the BBC, Mr Lamine was strolling with a buddy on the bridge when the $20 notice fell into the river.

Lamine, who’s a road hawker then dived into the river and retrieved the cash. After discovering the cash, he confirmed it to onlookers however then drowned, based on Carter.

He felt pressured to get the money again as a result of he wanted to present his buddy his $5 “share” of  some merchandise they collectively offered , Mr Carter stated.

Police now say Lamine’s physique has not been discovered.

Explaining the surprising story, Mr Carter stated onlookers who noticed Lamine dive thought he was secure after he emerged from the water to indicate them the notice, however he then disappeared and didn’t resurface.

He drowned within the Mesuradu River, which runs between mainland Monrovia and the economic district of Bushrod Island.
