I Did Not Steal Or Divert Funds For My Personal Use

The embattled performing chairman of the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee EFCC, Ibrahim Magu, has stated he by no means stole, diverted or transformed recovered funds for his personal use whereas he held sway as the pinnacle of the antigraft company.

Magu stated this in an interview with The Nation shortly after he was granted bail and launched from detention after 10 days.

Magu stated the allegations of corruption towards him are simply to tarnish his picture and that of the EFCC.

“They’re nonsense. They’re mere trump up allegations to tarnish my picture and that of the EFCC. I didn’t steal or divert or convert funds to non-public use. I learn the allegations and I used to be shocked.

“I thank Nigerians for his or her help, they shouldn’t be discouraged. I’m completely satisfied to be again, I consider the conflict towards corruption is winnable.”

Talking additional, he vowed to proceed to wage a conflict towards corruption.

“As for me, I’ll without end wage conflict towards corruption. I urge Nigerians to proceed to help the struggle towards corruption. They need to not quit on the struggle as a result of corruption kills a nation quicker than every other factor.

It’s not a private struggle. Whether or not I’m EFCC Chairman or not, the anti-corruption conflict should proceed.

What I’ve gone via is a case of canine eats canine however I see it as a type of dangers of the job. However we should not quit in any manner.”

Magu was arrested on Monday, July 6 and made to face the Justice Ayo Salami-led presidential panel following allegations of corruption leveled towards him by the Minister of Justice and Lawyer Common of the Federation, Abubakar Malami.
