IGP Orders Restriction Of Movement In Edo Ahead Of Governorship Election

Forward of Saturday governorship election in Edo State, the Inspector-Normal of Police, Mohammed Adamu, has ordered the restriction of vehicular motion from 11.59pm on Friday to 6pm on Saturday.

The IG famous that the order was knowledgeable by the necessity to stop the free circulation, circulation and use of illicit arms and laborious medication and checkmate the motion of political thugs and different criminally-minded people.

The IG in a press release by the pressure spokesman, DCP Frank Mba, enjoined the residents to exit en-masse on the day of the election and vote, noting that the police and different safety businesses have been sufficiently mobilised to offer a protected, safe and conducive atmosphere for the election.
