Following rumours that it’s about to close down gasoline statons, the Nigeria Union of Petroleum and Pure Fuel Employees has cleard he air, stating that it didn’t order the shutting down of gasoline stations or oil installations.

It additionally confirmed solidarity in the direction of the continuing protests towards police brutality and the extortion, allegedly perpetrated by members of the now-disbanded Particular Anti-Theft Squad.

Based on an announcement titled, ‘EndSARS: No organ of NUPENG ordered shutting down of gasoline stations or oil installations,’ on Saturday, the union joined the decision for police reforms.

The assertion signed by its Nationwide President and Normal Secretary, Williams Akporeha and Olamide Afolabi went forward to empathise with all victims of police brutality.

The #EndSARS protests have now stretched past every week, with aggrieved youths barricading main highways throughout the nation.
