Jigawa Governor’s Aide Arrested Over Multimillion Naira Scam, Impersonation

An aide to Governor Muhammad Badaru Abubakar of Jigawa State has been arrested for allegedly partaking in multimillion naira fraud.


Zakari Alhaji Sidi was arrested at Dutse department of Entry Financial institution.


He was mentioned to have made an try to run away from policemen when he observed he was being trailed.


In response to Sahara Reporters, the governor’s aide was arrested for fraudulent actions involving the gathering of tens of millions of naira from individuals, false pretence, felony breach of belief and dishonest. 


He was additionally accused of impersonating a former Minister of State for International Affairs, Dr Nuruddeen Muhammad, who’s an indigene of the state.


Sources on the Jigawa State Police Command disclosed that Sidi was being detained in readiness to be flown to the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee headquarters in Abuja for additional investigation.
