Kaduna Declares Public Holiday, 3 Days Mourning Following Emir's Death

Following the dying of Emir of Zazzau, Alhaji Shehu Idris, the Kaduna State Authorities has declared three days mourning within the state.

The Particular Adviser to the Governor Nasir el-Rufai on Media and Communication, Mr Muyiwa Adekeye, introduced this in an announcement this morning.

Adekeye mentioned public places of work would open on September 21 and September 22 however “there might be a public vacation on September 23 to honour his reminiscence’’.

The assertion was titled, “Kaduna declares three days mourning for late Emir of Zazzau”.

It learn, “The Kaduna State Authorities has declared three days of mourning for the late Emir of Zazzau, HH Alh. Shehu Idris. Public places of work will open as regular on 21 and 22 September 2020.

“There might be a public vacation on 23 September to honour his reminiscence.

“Flags will fly at half-mast in the course of the mourning interval.”

The emir died on the 44 Military Reference Hospital, Kaduna on Sunday on the age of 84.
