Based on SaharaReporters, Yahaya Sharif-Aminu, the musician sentenced to dying for blasphemy in opposition to Prophet Muhammad by a Kano Shari’a Court docket, has appealed the judgment.

Sharif-Aminu was sentenced to dying on August 10, 2020, and was given 30 days by the court docket to enchantment the judgment, that means that the time would lapse on Wednesday, September 9.

In a swimsuit filed on Thursday on the Kano State Excessive Court docket by his lawyer, Kola Alapini, Sharif-Aminu mentioned he’s dissatisfied with the judgment of the Shari’a Court docket.

He described the Kano State Penal Regulation 2000 as unconstitutional, null and void, having grossly violated and conflicted with the structure of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (1999) as amended and having violated the Human Rights and the Common Declaration of Human Rights respectively.
