Well-liked US musician, Kanye West has taken to Twitter to name out President Muhammadu Buhari and his authorities to finish police brutality in Nigeria.


He urged the federal government to finish extortion within the nation.


Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, he wrote:


“I stand with my Nigerian brothers and sisters to finish police brutality, the federal government should reply to the peoples’ cries #EndPoliceBrutalityinNigeria,” he tweeted.


This comes after Nigerians on Monday continued their protests to stress the Federal Authorities to observe by way of on disbanding the Particular Anti-Theft Squad.


The Inspector Normal of Police, Adamu Muhammed, had on Sunday introduced the dissolution of the FSARS in after widespread protest.


The protesters blocked highways in Lagos on Monday, demanding that the President, Main Normal Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), addresses them.


Buhari on Monday insisted that “disbanding of SARS is simply step one in our dedication to in depth police reforms”.

“The aim of regulation enforcement and the aim of policing is for the protection of lives and livelihood of Nigerians,” he stated.


However protesters in Lagos and Abuja vowed to maintain up the stress, saying earlier pledges to disband the unit and punish officers answerable for abuses weren’t honoured.
