LADIES! Natural Tips To Stop Heavy Menstrual Bleeding

Heavy menstrual bleeding or menorrhagia is a common problem which a lot of women experiences abnormally heavy or prolonged bleeding especially those over the age of 40.

Heavy bleeding during periods is usually caused by hormonal imbalance. Prolonged bleeding that continues to up to 7 or more days or the need to change your sanitary napkin too often can leave you exhausted and tired.

Too much bleeding is dangerous if overlooked as it can cause too many health problems like anemia. Fortunately, there are natural home remedies for stopping menstrual heavy bleeding.

1. Radish:
Radish also works effectively against menstruation bleeding. Blend 2-3 radish into a fine paste by adding a little water. Add one cup of buttermilk to this paste. Stir it well and consume it throughout the day. For best results, sip it regularly.

2. Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple Cider Vinegar helps reduce bleeding in most women. ACV flushes toxins out of the body and naturally dissolves issues causing menstrual irregularities. Add 1-2 teaspoons of raw and unfiltered apple cider vinegar to a glass of water and drink it thrice daily until your periods becomes lighter or completely stops.

3. Coriander seeds
If heavy periods bothers you, boil 2 tablespoons of coriander seeds in a glass of water. Put off the stove when the water is reduced to half. Allow it to cool and drink it 3-4 times daily during your periods. You may also add a little honey for taste.

4. Cold compress:
If you are experiencing heavy menstrual bleeding, try using a cold compress. This will help reduce the flow of blood as well as pain in the lower abdomen. Tie a few ice cubes in a towel and place it on your lower abdomen for 15 to 20 mins. Lie down for some time and try to relax. If needed, repeat the remedy every 4 hours for as long as the symptoms continue.

5. Orange Juice
Vitamin C plays an essential role in regulating the bleeding during periods. Drink a glass of orange juice 3 times every day during your periods. You may also add a teaspoon or two of lemon juice to boost the vitamin C content.

6 Chamomile Tea
Chamomile Tea has a soothing effect and helps in regulating heavy period bleeding. You may make the tea by boiling a few leaves in a cup of water. Let it stand for 5 minutes. Strain and sip in the tea 2-3 times a day during your cycle.

7 Cinnamon
Cinnamon is one of the best natural ingredients to stop heavy bleeding. It has the unique characteristic of regulating blood flow and relieve painful cramps. Take a two inches long cinnamon stick and boil it in a glass of water. Let it cool until lukewarm and consume twice daily during your periods.

8. Papaya:
For managing the menstrual irregularity, one should eat one bowl of raw papaya on daily basis. An enzyme called papain present in papaya regulates the proper flow. Papaya juice is also equally effective.

In case of severe condition you should not rely only on home remedies but must consult your doctor.
