Lagos Police Bans Rallies, Protests

The Lagos state police command has issued a ban on rallies and protests within the state forward of the October 1 Independence Day celebration.

Studying the riot act throughout a safety assembly with the Space Commanders, Divisional Police Officers, and Heads of Division on the convention room of the Lagos State Police Headquarters in GRA, Ikeja on Wednesday September 30, Commissioner of Police Hakeem Odumosu instructed officers and males of the command to disallow any illegal societies underneath no matter disguise, from staging rallies or protests throughout the state on Thursday, 1st October 2020.

Odumosu additionally appealed to most of the people to be law-abiding, desist from violence, and any act that’s able to disrupting the sovereignty of Nigeria as anybody arrested for such actions might be prosecuted.
