LASG Debunks Declare That An #EndSARS Protester Was Killed By Police In Surulere

The Lagos state authorities has debunked claims that an EndSARS protester was killed by a police officer in Surulere on Monday, October 12.

In response to an announcement launched by the Commissioner for Data, Gbenga Omotosho, the person who was killed yesterday was a bystander who wasn’t among the many protesters. Omotosho stated the person was killed by hoodlums who stormed the Anti-Kidnapping Unit at Hogan Bassey Avenue, Surulere, to free two suspects standing trial for alleged kidnapping. The hoodlums reportedly killed one policeman and injured two different officers.

“The eye of the Lagos State Authorities has been drawn to reviews that an #ENDSARS protester has been killed in Surulere. This isn’t true.

A gaggle of hoodlums stormed the Anti-Kidnapping Unit at Hogan Bassey Avenue, Surulere, to free two suspects standing trial for alleged kidnapping. They shot three officers. Certainly one of them, Inspector Erinfolami Ayodeji, sadly, died. The others are Inspectors Ekein Joshua and Peter Agabi.

The hoodlums, whereas escaping, fired into the air. A bystander was hit. He additionally died – sadly.
