The Appearing Chairman of the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu mentioned the company has secured 2,240 convictions and recovered property price N980billion in 5 years, The Nation reviews.

Magu made the disclosure at a briefing to mark the Democracy and Anti-Corruption Day in Abuja.

He mentioned: “As you all know in your common reporting, the EFCC shouldn’t be solely forward, it’s clearly so. We’re heading in the right direction in all of the instances we’re prosecuting. Our scorecard within the space of conviction is 2,240 within the final 5 years.

” We’ve got recovered property in extra of N980billion and fairly a big array of non-monetary property like properties, estates, personal jets, oil vessels, filling stations, colleges; inns; vans and different cars; jewelleries ; plazas, buying malls, electronics, amongst others.”

He mentioned EFCC ” takes each enforcement and prevention methods very significantly. Our enforcement shouldn’t be about powerful talks, it’s about powerful actions.

” It’s not about rhetoric, it’s about professionalism. It’s not about seminars, it’s about criminals and easy methods to carry them to e-book. The EFCC is making spectacular progress in digitalized and non-digitalized investigations.

” All our instances are being pursued with vigour and alacrity. Because of this now we have outcomes throughout all our zones.”
