Man Arrested With 2,886 ATM Cards Concealed Inside Noodles Pack At Lagos Airport

The Nigerian Customs Service (NCS) Murtala Muhamed Worldwide Airport (MMIA) command on Thursday handed over a suspect nabbed with 2,886 ATM playing cards to EFCC.
The Deputy Controller of MMIA, Abdulmumin Bako of MMIA in a media briefing mentioned that 4 Subscriber Identification Module (SIM) playing cards have been additionally intercepted with the suspect.
In response to him, the suspect, one lshaq Abubakar Abubakar with Passport Quantity A08333717 from Kano State, was intercepted when he was travelling to Dubai through Emirates Evacuation flight August 22, 2020.

The ATM playing cards and sim playing cards have been rigorously hid in an noodles carton by the suspect. The suspect claimed that one Mr Musliu was assigned to him to facilitate his motion by way of the checks on the airport by one Mr Suleiman however as a result of diligence of our Officers who insisted on conducting bodily examination, revealed the concealment.
The Lagos Zonal Head, EFCC, Abdulrasheed Bawa, mentioned the ATM playing cards might be used for cash laundering or Overseas Trade Malpractices. He nevertheless vowed that everybody concerned within the conspiracy might be arrested and prosecuted by the fee.
