Mentally Challenged Lady Backs Useless Child For Days Im Ebonyi

A mentally in poor health girl had a lifeless child strapped to her again for over per week till the scent turned too insufferable for locals.

The girl was noticed on Tuesday, August 18, with the lifeless child at Effium within the Ohaukwu Native Authorities Space of Ebonyi State.

It was gathered that she arrived on the neighborhood some months in the past from an unknown vacation spot and began staying in an uncompleted one-storey constructing.

Her presence precipitated no issues till she started strolling the neighborhood with a foul stench and other people reported to the police. It was then seen that it was coming from the infant at her again.

A supply informed Punch: “The police alerted the 2 coordinators within the space, Agbo Sunday of the Effium Growth Centre, and Mrs Eucharia Ogwale of the Effium South Growth Centre. The 2 coordinators mobilised some youths within the space to dispossess the lady of the lifeless child.

“However the girl was resistant and so, it was tough to get the lifeless child from her. She vehemently resisted the youth from gathering the infant from her. Nonetheless, the youth have been sensible sufficient, overpowered her and finally collected the infant from her yesterday (Tuesday).

“The newborn was already decomposing on her again, as a result of she had carried it for over one week or so. The youth collected the infant from her and it was buried on the cemetery on Tuesday.”

Agbo Sunday confirmed to Punch that the infant was buried on Tuesday and that folks have been already going about their regular enterprise.

“Folks ought to go about their enterprise as a result of the scenario has been put beneath management. The lifeless child was buried on Tuesday,” he said.
