NECO Postpones Exam Over #EndSARS Protests

It has been reported that the Nationwide Examination Council has been postponed.

NECO postponed Paper I Pc Research Sensible’s scheduled for Monday, October 19, 2020, till November 16, based on The PUNCH.

This was contained in an announcement by the Head, Data and Public Relations Division, NECO, Azeez Sani, on Sunday.

Sani stated the choice was taken due to the continuing #ENDSARS protests, affecting the human and vehicular motion.

He defined that the protest had affected the provision of examination supplies.

The assertion learn, “That is to tell most of the people and particularly candidates that the Nationwide Examinations Council (NECO) has been constrained to reschedule the Paper I Pc Research Sensible’s earlier scheduled to happen on Monday 19 October 2020, 10 am to 1 pm. The examination of this paper will now maintain on Monday 16 November 2020, 10 am-1 pm.

​”This unexpected incident has been attributable to the ENDSARS protest that blocked the free motion of transport on the Metropolis entrance gate Benin.

“The NECO supply truck had left its take-off level effectively upfront two days earlier to ship examination supplies to some states and has been held up within the blockage since then.

“The Council needs to guarantee all stakeholders and most of the people that the affected examination supplies have been retrieved intact and are within the custody of NECO’s vault.

​”Whereas regretting any inconveniences this rescheduling might trigger our esteemed stakeholders, the Council has nevertheless taken this resolution with a purpose to preserve the integrity and safety of its examinations procedures for seamless conduct of the Council’s examination.”
