The Air Process Drive of Operation LAFIYA DOLE, has knocked out one other Islamic State of West Africa Province, ISWAP, terrorists’ camp at Tongule within the Lake Chad space of Northern Borno and eradicated scores of their fighters.


The Coordinator, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. John Enenche introduced this in an announcement on Friday in Abuja.


Mr Enenche stated that the air raid was in continuation of the air offensive in opposition to terrorist parts within the North East.

He famous that the airstrikes had been performed on Aug. 12, following credible intelligence reviews indicating terrorists’ actions within the village.


He stated that the Air Process Drive dispatched a Nigerian Air Drive, NAF, fighter jets to assault the situation after confirmatory intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance, ISR, missions.


The mission confirmed the presence of a large variety of the ISWAP parts at designated areas.


Based on him, the NAF jets took turns in partaking the situation, scoring devastating hits on the designated targets and resulting in the destruction of the constructions in addition to the neutralisation of a number of ISWAP fighters.


“The Chief of the Air Employees, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, commends the Air Process Drive for his or her dedication and professionalism.

“He urged them to accentuate the air offensive in opposition to the terrorists and all different felony parts within the nation,’’ he stated.
