‘Obiano Is Just A Small Fry’

Anambra oil magnate, Prince Arthur Eze, has tackled Anambra state Governor, Willie Obiano  over his newest suspension of monarchs who adopted him to see President Muhammadu Buhari.


He insisted that he’ll proceed to sort out Obiano till he does the precise factor.


In keeping with Punch, Eze spoke at his Ukpo residence within the Dunikofia Native Authorities Space of Anambra State, on Sunday.


He stated “I’m not afraid of anyone. I’ve put in three African presidents. One among them gave me oil blocks in his nation. I’ve assisted in enthroning many governors in Nigeria.

“I’ve given a governorship candidate N10bn to help him prosecute his election. I didn’t know the candidate from Adam. He simply approached me and informed me about himself and his folks; I empthatised with him and gave him the cash.

“Obiano is only a small fry. Even this Obiano, I’ve given him monetary help as an individual and as a governor a number of instances. I’ve no private issues with him. My grouse with him is that he’s not doing the precise issues as a governor.

“Many individuals are struggling underneath his authorities. He isn’t paying the standard rulers within the state their 5 per cent entitlement from the Native Authorities allocation.”


The oil mogul’s rift with the governor had led to the suspension of 13 conventional rulers suspected to be Eze’s loyalists.


In response, the Anambra State Commissioner for Info and Public Enlightenment, C-Don Adinuba, stated officers of the state authorities had determined to take care of “dignified silence” on feedback by Eze.
