Oh No! Employee Commits Suicide After Losing His Boss' N150k To Gambling In Bayelsa

A 28-year-old man, recognized merely as Suga, has dedicated suicide in Bayelsa State, The Nation experiences.

Suga, who hailed from Nembe Native Authorities Space of the state, allegedly poisoned himself with a substance suspected to be Sniper (insecticide) after utilizing his boss’ cash value N150,000 to play bet9ja digital video games.

It was learnt that he killed himself on Wednesday after staking a variant of bet9ja popularly referred to as ‘Ogbu ngwa ngwa’, which accurately interprets as ‘it kills faster than regular soccer matches’.

This digital sport is alleged to final lower than two minutes and one both wins or loses and it’s managed by computer systems as programmed.

A group supply, who craved anonymity, stated Suga used to run a Bet9ja store for his unnamed boss in Bassambiri Nembe space of the state.

The supply stated the cash the deceased used to play the digital bets was meant for the day’s work.

The supply acknowledged: “Suga, not figuring out the right way to clarify the state of affairs to his boss, made him to take his personal life.”

Suga’s demise is alleged to have elevated the quantity of people that have died from betting and playing since final 12 months within the state to a few.

When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Bayelsa State Command, Mr Asinim Butswat, stated although the police have been conscious of the incident, the matter was not formally reported.

“The Divisional Police Officer of Bassambri Nembe stated the incident was not reported formally to the police. He, nonetheless, stated they heard in regards to the incident,”
the spokesman acknowledged.
