The Ooni of Ife, Oba Enitan Adeyeye Ogunwusi has allayed public concern after a hearth incident inside the palace on Wednesday.

In accordance with him, his palace was not affected by the incident.

He mentioned there is no such thing as a want for panic, assuring that the hearth incident was a minor one, that barely razed a tiny a part of one of many administrative buildings inside the palace compound.

In accordance with a press assertion in Osogbo by Ooni’s director of media and public affairs, Comrade Moses Olafare, there was no trigger for alarm because the monarch’s palace stays intact.

The assertion reads “the Palace of the Ooni of Ife, Ooni Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi Ojaja II, needs to tell all the public minor hearth outbreak  involving a tiny a part of one of many administrative buildings inside the premises of the palace occurred at about 1:15 pm at this time, Wednesday 19th, August 2020, leaving no hurt to the oldest palace in Yoruba land.”

“The minor inferno which lasted for about 20 minutes was instantly put out by collective efforts of individuals within the palace led by the Ooni’s Chief Safety Officer, Mr Kolawole Emmanuel, later joined by males of the hearth companies from the state authorities, Obafemi Awolowo College, Ile-Ife and Obafemi Awolowo College Instructing Hospital, Ile-Ife.”

“Except for the truth that there was no causality in any respect, the hearth was only a minor incidence which was nothing to be in comparison with the deceptive large photos being painted within the media, significantly the social media.”

“Whereas it’s suspected to have emanated from an electrical spark, measures are at present in place to disclose the reason for the inferno.”

We want to thank males of the Osun State Fireplace service, Obafemi Awolowo College Fireplace Service and OAUTH Fireplace Service for his or her swift response, whereas efforts of well-meaning Nigerians who reached out to the Palace for goal evaluation are equally appreciated.”

“As soon as once more, the traditional palace of Ife stays as wealthy as earlier than in tradition, traditions and tourism”, the assertion concluded.
