A 37-year-old farmer, recognized as Ephraim Kadiri was paraded by the Gombe State Police Command, on Thursday over the killing of an Okada in Gombe, The PUNCH studies.

Parading the suspect on the state command headquarters, the Commissioner of Police, Shehu Maikudi, stated the suspect took the motorbike to the place it was bought for N120,000.

Maikudi stated the Okada rider was hacked down and the motorbike stolen, including that it took the police a lot effort to rescue the suspect from an offended mob from attacking the divisional police station over the incident.

The CP said, “He (Kadiri) was the one, who nearly induced mayhem for us yesterday (Wednesday) in Billiri after killing a industrial motorcyclist and stealing his motorbike. Restive youths in Billiri thought we weren’t doing sufficient and tried to assault the police station. We needed to deploy our males there; the Space Commander needed to converse to the youth in addition to interact the stakeholders within the city to calm the scenario.

“Policemen had been later deployed to Cham, the place the suspect was arrested in a lodge, however he had bought the motorbike at Laraban Lamurde.”

Additionally paraded was a 21-year-old SS3 pupil, Babayo Yahaya, who was allegedly caught with 107 tramadol capsules and 59 sachets of Exole and N400,000 used to bribe the police.

he added.
