We reported earlier that the various college students of the Delta State Polytechnic, Ozoro have angrily staged a protest.

The scholars are protesting towards the N5, 000 COVID-19 charge imposed by the administration. Now photographs from the protest have emerged.

In response to The Nation, it was learnt the protest, which began about 7am, noticed a number of college students on the establishment’s gate and blocking the principle entrance of the varsity.

The polytechnic had imposed a N5, 000 COVID-19 levy on all college students returning for the 2019/2020 tutorial session.

The college, in a round final week, directed college students to pay the levy in order that authorities will be capable of put together for the well being and security as college students return to high school.

Calling on the Delta State Authorities to wade into the matter and prevail on the administration to withdraw the levy, the scholars described it as illegal and a method of extorting them.
