Police Arrests Two Fleeing Robbers And Their Herbalist In Oyo And Osun


The Suspects

Two members of a theft gang have been arrested whereas fleeing and their herbalist was additionally arrested.

The suspects reportedly fled their hideout three weeks in the past when males of the Particular Anti-Theft Squad, Ogun State Police Command, stormed the Adesan space of Mowe within the Obafemi-Owode Native Authorities Space of the state.

The Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, stated on Monday that the suspected robbers, Saheed Bello and Bello Sadiq, have been arrested in Ibadan, Oyo State, whereas their herbalist, Ibrahim Rasheed, was apprehended in Osun State on Monday, June 29.

The PPRO stated the suspects have been arrested three weeks after 4 of their gang members have been apprehended of their hideout in Mowe. He added that the gang have been chargeable for various theft instances round Mowe/Ofada.

He stated, “Saheed Bello, who’s the chief of the gang, and Bello Sadiq have been traced to the Academy space of Ibadan based mostly on intelligence investigation embarked upon by the CSP Tijani Mohammed-led SARS they usually have been apprehended.

“Their arrest led to the arrest of 1 Ibrahim Rasheed, who’s the gang’s herbalist in Ile-Ogbo, Osun State.”

In response to the PPRO, one locally-made single-barrelled pistol and 5 dwell cartridges have been recovered from the suspects.
