The Kano state police command mentioned it’ll henceforth prosecute homeowners of uncompleted buildings utilized by rapists to perpetrate crimes within the state.

DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa, the Command’s Public Relations Officer made the announcement in a well-liked Radio programme “Inda Ranka”.

He mentioned that “33.three % of rape circumstances had been perpetrated at uncompleted buildings within the state.” Kiyawa who said that homeowners of uncompleted buildings used to perpetrate rape will likely be charged as accomplices, added that the robust stance was necessitated by a disturbing statistics that emanated from investigation performed by the command within the wake of rising circumstances of rape, particularly on minors throughout the state.

The police spokesperson mentioned;

”We’re warning most people that henceforth, any rape case perpetrated in an uncompleted constructing, the proprietor can be charged as confederate”.


Kiyawa additional revealed that the police has expanded its patrol to uncompleted buildings in each nook and crannies of the Kano metropolis and different locations within the state.
