Nigeria’s Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, has said that the Federal Authorities is planning to assist non-public schoolteachers and artisans with cash to cushion the untoward financial impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on them.


He mentioned that authorities has created a survival fund and payroll assist for academics, artisans and small companies.


Based on a report by Punch, Osinbajo said that the Federal Authorities had secured land in 11 states of the federation to construct hundreds of two-bedroom flats for Nigerians at the price of N2m every.

Osinbajo spoke on the ongoing 60th Annual Basic Convention of the Nigerian Bar Affiliation.


He featured on the “state of the nation” session with the theme, “A stimulating trade on the State of the Nation,” moderated by the Writer of ThisDay newspaper, Mr Nduka Obaigbena.


The vice chairman mentioned the Federal Authorities’s efforts have been geared in direction of saving jobs and creating new ones amid the pandemic.


Osinbajo mentioned, “By the Financial Sustainability Plan, the FG’s focus is to save lots of jobs and create new ones. Equally, there’s a survival fund and payroll assist for artisans, non-public schoolteachers and small companies.
