See The Faces Of Four Men Arrested For Robbery In Lagos

The Suspects

The Lagos state police have apprehended 4 males suspected to be armed robbers for allegedly invading Mayfair Backyard, Awoyaya in Ibeju Lekki.

Rasheed Odetola, 25, John Zion, 23, Damilare Salami, 20, and Adeboye Dayo, 25, had been arrested by males of the  Particular Anti-Theft Squad (SARS) over the weekend with a locally-made pistol, 4 unexpended cartridges and a stolen cellphone.

The suspects had been arrested throughout a struggle with some males. They denied being armed robbers, insisting that they had been land thugs.

One of many suspects, Rasheed Odetola stated, “It’s true that the gun was discovered with us. We’re land grabbers’ thugs. We use the gun to guard ourselves towards our opponents.

“Sincerely, I have no idea what prompted the conflict. I solely noticed three of them beating one in every of us and we can’t fold our arms and permit them to beat him.

“After we had been separated by some elders locally, one of many boys began shouting that we took his cellphone.

“After looking us, sadly, the Tecno cellphone was recovered from one in every of us. We had been later taken to Elemoro Police Station, Ajah. We had been searched on the station and a locally-made gun was discovered on us.”

Zion stated he picked the cellphone from the ground in the course of the struggle.

Police Commissioner Hakeem Odumosu stated the command will examine and produce the perpetrators to guide.
