Senate President, Ahmad Lawan Kicks Against Scrapping Of SARS

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan has kicked towards scrapping of the Particular Anti-Theft Squad (SARS).

Talking on Wednesday October 7 as lawmakers deliberated a movement on the current extrajudicial killings carried out by a safety personnel hooked up to the controversial Nigerian police unit, Lawan stated some good personnel within the police unit may be denied the chance to carry out higher whether it is scrapped.

He stated;

“I feel that that is the state of affairs that must be correctly investigated. These concerned in current incident must be arrested and prosecuted. The regulation ought to take its due course. This isn’t acceptable. Nigerians have to know what occurred to those that have killed Nigerians.

“There are good individuals and unhealthy individuals in SARS. Scrapping of businesses when you have got errors will not be the most effective place. Rule of regulation must be put in place.

“If you happen to scrap SARS, you lose the prospect of getting these doing effectively to proceed to do effectively.’
