Shari’ah Council Begs Kano Government To Execute Singer Sentenced To Death For Blasphemy (Photo)

The Supreme Council for Shari’ah in Nigeria has reacted to the dying sentence imposed on 22-year-old singer Yahaya Sharif-Aminu for blasphemy.

 

The council has requested the Kano state authorities to execute him.

 

The council in a press release launched by its secretary Nafi’u Baba-Ahmad, berated these asking for the convict to be pardoned.

 

It added that the case is only an Islamic affair and in consonance with the faith, tradition and desires of not solely the individuals of Kano however the majority of the inhabitants of Nigeria who’re Muslims.

“The calls by some so-called human rights teams to pardon the wrongdoer shouldn’t deter the state authorities from doing the appropriate factor.
