Showdown As ASUU Dares FG, Says Universities Won’t Reopen Until Demands Are Met




The Tutorial Workers Union of Universities has warned the Federal Authorities that if it fails to honour the settlement it had with the union since 2009, universities is not going to be allowed to reopen after the COVID-19 pandemic.


Talking at a city assembly on the African Corridor, the College of Ilorin, the ASUU Nationwide President, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, nevertheless, declined to disclose the agenda.


Ogunyemi mentioned, “I feel it’s higher we wait. Once we get to that bridge, we are going to cross it. I can’t open our technique right here; no matter you do is about technique; let the federal government refuse to barter, we are going to unfold our technique then.”
