Aminu Adisa Logun died on Tuesday night. The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Rafiu Ajakaye, stated in an announcement:, “With complete submission to the need of the Almighty Allah, we want to announce the passing of the Chief of Workers to the Governor of Kwara State Aminu Adisa Logun (min).


“Logun, an industrialist, a public mental, and an elder statesman, died Tuesday night of issues from COVID-19. He died only some hours after the check of his consequence returned constructive.

“All the authorities and the individuals of Kwara State have misplaced an impressive public servant who diligently served the state at varied instances, together with as Chief of Workers to the Governor from June 7, 2019 till he returned to his Lord.

“The Governor has declared a seven-day mourning in honour of the late Chief of Workers.

“The Governor commiserates with the household of the late Chief of Workers and the whole Ilorin Emirate for this tragic growth.

“We pray the Almighty Allah to grant him Al-Jannah Firdaus and provides the household the fortitude to bear the massive loss.

“Particulars about his Janazah will probably be made public by the household and the federal government sooner or later.”


Mr Logun was a pioneer industrialist in Ilorin and an alumnus of the Nationwide Institute for Coverage and Strategic Research (NIPSS) Kuru, Jos. He hailed from Ilorin, the state capital.

He was chairman of the 80-member Kwara State Transition Committee appointed by Governor AbdulRazaq earlier than his inauguration final 12 months.


An alumnus of Barewa School, Zaria, Mr Logun attended King’s School, Lagos and earned a bachelor’s diploma in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough College of Know-how and a Grasp’s of Science (M.Sc.) from Birmingham College, each in the UK.
