Social Media Influencer, 'Adeherself' Granted Bail By Court



Social media influencer, Adedamola Adewale (alias Adeherself), charged with fraud by the Financial and Monetary Crimes Fee (EFCC), was on Wednesday granted N500,000 bail by an Ikeja Particular Offences Courtroom.

In a ruling, Justice Sherifat Solebo additionally ordered that Ms Adewale should present two sureties with dependable technique of earnings which might be verified by the courtroom.

Mrs Solebo adjourned the case till August 5 for substantive listening to.

The Information Company of Nigeria (NAN) stories that the defendant, who had been within the custody of the EFCC following her arraignment in courtroom on July 7, is dealing with a cost of possession of a fraudulent doc.

In line with EFCC counsel, Samuel Daji, the defendant was arrested following intelligence obtained by the EFCC on the actions of some younger males allegedly concerned in web fraud within the Lekki axis of Lagos.

“Adeherself on June 15, with the intent to defraud, had in her possession a fraudulent doc which was entitled ‘WhatsApp’.

“The offence violates Sections 318 of the Prison Regulation of Lagos State 2011,” Mr Daji mentioned.
