Suspected Car Thief Stabs Resident To Death For Raising Alarm

The Orile Police Division of Lagos State has arrested a suspected car thief, John Amaechi, for allegedly stabbing a resident of the area identified as Peter Onyeanusi, to death while carrying out his criminal activities.

According to the police, John was on the verge of stealing the catalyst of a car parked on Adeoye street in the Aguda area of Surulere when the deceased spotted him and raised an alarm.

In his attempt to shut the deceased up, the suspected thief brought out a knife and stabbed him in the neck.  The victim was rushed to a hospital where he died from infection in the injuries he sustained.

The spokesperson of the state police command, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident to newsmen.
